Kuierkos:
Braaivleis:

Europeans and Americans call this BBQ-meat cooked on a grid or grilled over open coals.
This is a time honored South African tradition and half the fun is kuier-ing around the fire with a glass of red or an ice cold beer, while the wood burns down to coals.

Roosterkoek is an old South African favourite braai food made with balls of bread dough cooked on the grid over coals, made fresh everyday.

Pap/Mielie Pap:
One of SA's most popular foods and is made from maize (mielie) meal (finely ground).
Stywe pap - ground mielie meal baked in potjie over coals.
Can be sweetened with sugar and honey and milk and enjoyed for breakfast.
Millions of South Africans have been raised on it and is traditionally eaten by hand - taking a piece of pap and dipping it into a sauce - like sous.

Sous:
Tomato and Onion Sauce simmered slowly with herbs and spices - delicious with Pap or Borewors rolls.

Bobotie:
Traditional SA dish of Malaysian origin.
Mildly curried minced meat baked in a rich, savoury egg sauce and served with rice, chutney and salad garnish.

Mince Curry :
Old  favourite Family recipe: mildly curried mince with peas, carrots and corn served with rice, banana and chutney.

Chicken Curry:
Medium heat curry of chicken pieces and potato served with rice and poppadoms.

Malva Pudding:
Sweet dense sponge pudding with a caramelized texture, of Afrikaner origin and served with custard  and cream or ice-cream.
Gets its name from a sweet Malvasia wine that it was traditionally served with.
Differs from region to region - some make it with ginger, some with apricot jam and then there are other variations like Cape Brandy Pudding or Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Kindly place your order at the bar counter if the waiter is not available. Everything on the menu is subject to availability.
